First 128

12 photographs, and three video works that display modern food in plastic and polystyrene cases in the traditional style of 17th Century Dutch still life paintings. In the timelapse videos, the disintegration of the fruit and vegetables leaves behind the packaging in its original state. While cherries delicately melt and strawberries are covered in a complex cloud of mould, the undeniable robustness of synthetic materials endures.
